First-ever ‘retina-resolution’ holograms have been developed by a UK startup

A UK startup called VividQ states that they have successfully produced holograms with retina resolution that accurately replicate the level of detail expected by the human eye. Additionally, they have joined forces with Japanese electronics firm JKC to further advance VR/AR applications using this groundbreaking technology.

VividQ specializes in manipulating light waves to create 3D objects that can be viewed with natural focus, regardless of the distance. The company claims that their technology provides an unmatched level of immersion and realism, which has significant implications for VR/AR, gaming, and other experiences. Apart from the JKC partnership, VividQ is also involved with a leading consumer electronics company to integrate the technology into its product roadmap.
