NVIDIA's DLSS upscaling technology is officially supported by the open-source NVK Vulkan driver for Linux. Thanks to incredible dev work by Autumn Ashton and Thomas Andersen, the code has been officially merged into the upcoming Mesa 26.2 stable update dropping this August! While it's still experimental and requires a manual toggle, this is a massive step toward ditching proprietary drivers for good.
DLSS support is not currently enabled by default.
It can be enabled experimentally using the NVK_EXPERIMENTAL=dlss environment variable.
